Straight to the point, apple is very far fetchedly rumored , by the chinese blog TGBus, to be collaborating with intel to create a smartwatch, which would have a 1.5 inch scree, would let you connect to iPhone with low powered Bluetooth 4.0, and would allows you to use of Siri and answer calls, in a bid to create a futuristic wearable smart device assistant.
Now that , with Siri, could pave way for voice operated device. [Such a device could be made today, without technological hurdles. A connected iPhone would do much of the processing; the watch would record your voice, transmit it to your iPhone, and relay Siri's response. A small touch screen would also allow for limited visual/kinetic interaction, including notifications and basic apps.]
A few doubts are there : first of all, we are yet to see Intel even think of getting into low powered mobile CPU making, and moreover, Apple doesn't tend to enter new product lines as easily as that, unless, as Jobs and Cook both say, that Apple can do something revolutionary in it, which for iWatch in 2013 doesn't look possible.
Though yeh the possibility in future is strong, with better personal assistants and speech recognition technologies, and smaller, faster hardwares. But no time soon.....
