We have seen the Xperia series try to gain recognition for the Japanese firm in the smartphone world, though pretty unsuccessful till now. But here comes the Xperia Z, hoping to change this , with its premium features.
Xperia, like Droid DNA and Huawei D2, sports a 5 inch display and the same surreal 441 ppi resolution. With Qualcomm quad core Snapdragon S4 pro CPU , a rear 13 MP HDR camera , 7.9 mm thick body, coming pre loaded with Android 4.1 , only to be updated to 4.2 soon after release, it surely is at the high end of things.
Yeah, this thing is claimed to be water resistant, completely, as they say, with highest levels of water proofing (IP55 and IP57)
Set to launch in the next 3 months, it'll be interesting to see if it makes any impact on the smartphone market, though a lot depends on its pricing, and the upcoming super competition from samsung and Google-Motorola collaboration
